Last Weekend with Tanner

Because Tanner leaves to go back to the states on Thursday, (crazy right?!) yesterday we went to London again. You have to remember, London is insanely huge and we only got to see 1/10 of it last time. People will spend a week there and not see everything they want to see.

It was a pretty chill day, but probably my favorite so far. (I know I say that with every trip so far, haha). The couple missionary that work for the church farms told us about Camden Market which is the biggest market in London, so we went there first. Shopped around a little bit and had the most bomb authentic Mexican food ever. We also walked around and took a look at Buckingham Palace, (which was closed for tours) Big Ben, Westminister Abbey, The London Eye, and Hyde Park. I saw a bicycle rent shop and I decided I am going to rent a bike for when I go to Paris. Wouldn't that just be dreamy? We rode the big red bus at the top and that was the best thing ever.

Not much else to say, other than I am super not looking forward to seeing Tanner go. He didn't have a mission farewell talk but he talked in testimony meeting and it really hit me today that he is leaving. Tomorrow Tanner and I are going to go to a service project with all the missionaries in the area, then Tuesday and Wednesday the family is going to Preston to take Tanner to the temple and do some sight seeing. Then early Thursday morning, off he goes to Provo to stay with grandma and grandpa. He reports to the MTC March 13th.

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend.

Hugs from England :)

Creeper Status to the Max

This is one of the pictures I took while we were in London. Because I like to think I'm artsy//people watch, I came up with this photo. It's totally creeper status but I saw a cute little couple sitting on some steps while sharing they're lunch. It was so adorable that I had to capture it on camera.

London.. Les Mis.. amazing. This is already my favoritest broadway show in the entire world and to see it live was the most incredible, magical thing I've ever experienced. If you have seen the movie, the singing on the broadway stage is 5000 million times better. I was mesmerized by the singing, lighting, props, emotion and the whole picture of it. So worth the 30 pound I payed to see it.

Tonight for dinner, Maggie, Peter and their family came over for dinner. When my mom was little she met a little girl in a swimming pool at Disney Land named Joanna. They instantly became friends and wanted their parents to meet so they did. Joanna's parents are Maggie and Peter. Anyways, they got talking and my grandparents gave them a Book of Mormon. Maggie and Peter called my grandparents a couple months later and wanted to be baptized. Cool huh?

Anyways, Maggie and Peter are quite the characters. I had only met them a couple times when I was younger. They are lovely people. They love to travel and have traveled all over the world. All throughout their marriage, they would just save up a ton and once they saved for a few years they would use all their money to just travel for a good year or two. When traveling the United States, they just rented a huge RV for their family and go exploring all across the country (this is how they ended up in Disney Land and met my mom and grandparents). They were telling my mom and I ways to travel SUPER cheap. They gave us tips on getting plane tickets for only 25 EUROS. That's right. They will sell you plane tickets that cheap across Europe if you're only staying a couple days. They also hooked us up with this business that hosts families for 30 Euros a night in all kinds of countries in Europe. SCORE.

I decided that after I graduate school and have been working for a couple years, I am going to do the same. Drop everything I have and just use all my money to travel. Future husband: you better be okay with these plans because I can't marry you if you aren't ;)

London Stole my Heart

Entrance onto the Platform (Harry Potter geekiness awe starts to begin)

We found out that they actually just recently put the cart there about a year ago.

THE HARRY POTTER STOREE!! (Completely geeking out at this point)

Walking to the London Bridge (freaking out freaking out)

Nothing but smiles today :)

That Castle right there is the Tower of London

Touring through the Castle

Best natural food place ever!

We got a kick out of this

Freaking out about M&M world!!!

Re-creating The Beatles on Abbey Rd (M&M style )

We got a really good kick out of this. Totally Tanner's personality.

Hi.
A few things about today:

1. London was sooooo much bigger than I thought it would be. I mean really. New York City on steroids. There was an underground train station that took you all through-out London and we probably saw 1/20 of it.

2. Biggest Harry Potter fan ever. Completely in geekinesss awe. Platform 9 3/4 was the best part of my day hands down. There was the cutest little Harry Potter shop as well that sold everything you can think of that is Harry Potter. Wands of the different witches and wizards, scarves, robes, t-shirts, time turner necklaces, key-chains, pens and all kinds of random stuff. Ahhh sooo awesome.

3. Tour through the Tower of London. Research it. Some awesome history behind it. Best tour yet. Many great kings beheaded many great leaders there. Also in the tower holds the Royal Jewels so we saw crowns and robes from 500 years ago that were made of fine Indian Jewels. Gorgeous.

4. The London Bridge. Huge. I want to come back and take a bus tour or a tour on the river and learn more about the architecture. Beautiful beautiful beautiful!

5. Ate at the best natural foods store. Heaven. Yummy food + Healthy food = Happy Hailey. Of course I ordered tomato soup over any sandwich or salad.

6. THERE IS AN M&M WORLD IN LONDON AND IT IS THE BEST THING EVER. Like little kid on Christmas status... Growing up, one of my favorite family trips was Vegas when I was 9 and I still remember being in Heaven at the M&M store in Vegas. Did not know there was one in London and I freaked out. Best part, recreating The Beatles M&M style. If you don't know that I'm totally obsessed with The Beatles, you don't know me at all.

7. Saw the Broadway side of town when we went to pick up our tickets for Les Mis tomorrow night. Ahhhhh so coool!! SO many lights, beautiful buildings, so many people. The best.

I literally can't wait for tomorrow. SOOOO incredibly stoked to go to already my favoritest place I have ever been to, ever.
